THE ALIGNMENT PROBLEM

STOP MEASURING FROM A HARD-TO-REACH REFERENCE POINT.

When access is restricted, machinery blocks the route or there is no reliable datum, marking an aligned hole can involve repeated measurements, plumb lines and extra setup time.

TRUEPOINT mounts to the existing pipe or conduit and projects its centre onto the surface ahead, showing where the new hole needs to be cut. No plumb line, and no second pair of hands holding the other end.

Once that hole is cut, the beam carries on to the next surface, so a run through several walls or floors can be marked from the same reference at ranges of up to 30 metres.

How TRUEPOINT works

Mark the aligned hole centre in three steps.

  1. Red laser digits projected from the TRUEPOINT head onto a dark surface
    Step 01

    Attach

Choose the supplied adapter for the pipe or conduit size, then secure TRUEPOINT to the existing installation.

  2. TRUEPOINT laser marker clamped to the end of a vertical conduit, spirit level visible
    Step 02

    Project

Switch on the Class 2 laser to project the centre point onto the surface ahead.

  3. TRUEPOINT laser marker projecting the hole centre while a holesaw starts the cut
    Step 03

    Mark and cut

Mark the projected point, check the cutting area, then cut the hole using the included Starrett holesaw system.
